Melissa's Story...
She leads a full-service Interior Design and remodeling firm with an 8,500-square-foot showroom offering design, material selection, and installation from concept to completion for residential and commercial spaces.
Melissa is an active leader in the building industry and community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Central Washington Home Builders, is involved with Central Washington Women in Building, Women in Residential Construction, and Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of Downtown Rotary, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW). She also contributes to the Design Committee for the Downtown Association of Yakima, helping shape the future of the city she proudly calls home. Most recently, Melissa has served on Perry Technical Institute’s Construction & Carpentry Technology Program Advisory Committee. She has also just been asked to be an advisor for Davis High School’s Family & Consumer Sciences Advisory Board.
Outside the showroom, Melissa is a proud mom to Keanen Brewer and grandma to Keanen Brewer II and baby Zenaya. An animal lover to her core, she even built a barndominium where her horse Abby and donkey Eddie Murphy can poke their heads through the kitchen window for treats. Her dogs, Copper and Aries, are regulars at M.B. Designs, happily greeting guests as they begin their remodel journey.
